TransGrid has prepared a Strategic Network Development Plan to help give an understanding of how short-term electricity transmission network developments are aimed to be consistent with longer term trends in electricity consumption and strategic plans for transmission development.
The Strategic Network Development Plan assists TransGrid to identify key future substation sites and line route segments that may need to be secured early to ensure prudent and efficient development of the network.
