Telecommunications

TransGrid owns and operates a state-wide telecommunications network comprising microwave radio systems and an optical fibre network. The TransGrid telecommunications network utilises an extensive r ange of communication towers and high voltage transmission line towers.

TransGrid's radio sites are available for use by third party organisations including government departments, emergency services groups, community groups, private companies and licensed telecommunications carriers. TransGrid's high voltage transmission line towers are also available for use by licensed telecommunications carriers.

Application forms for occupancy of either a TransGrid communications tower or high voltage tower are available on the links below. Each communication tower application must be accompanied by a radio site amendment form.
