Stephen McSweeney joined Transgrid in 2023 and has spent the last 20 years in senior leadership roles across the energy and mining sectors in Australia, driving transformation and growth in large and complex businesses.
Prior to Transgrid, Stephen had an extensive career at AGL Energy, leading significant organisational transformation while holding human resource and talent leadership roles. Stephen champions the strategic alignment of People, Culture and Safety initiatives with business imperatives, fostering sustainable growth and developing future leaders.
Stephen holds a Bachelors degree in Management, public relations and Communications and has completed professional development programs at the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and the Melbourne Business School.
