The CSU Civil Engineering Cadetship Program is a targeted initiative designed to develop a future pipeline of engineers within regional NSW. Cadets will have the opportunity to develop real-world skills alongside their degree, contribute to major projects, learn from leading professionals, explore future career pathways, and build their networks within the energy industry.

What are you looking forward to the most about Transgrid and the program?
I'm looking forward to developing my skills as an engineer through onsite learning, and finding new things to love about working as an engineer that I wouldn’t find studying in a classroom. As well as the opportunity to experience what it is like working as an engineer within a large company on a large project.
Why did you apply to Transgrid’s Cadetship Program?
I applied for the Transgrid cadetship program to learn hands on skills and understandings from industry professionals and experts within Transgrid. Having done design work within my studies at CSU I am very excited to learn more about the construction side of engineering projects as well as the way civil engineering and electrical engineering coincide within the projects.
What are you looking forward to the most about Transgrid and the program?
The opportunity to delve into engineering design work as i previously have experience with construction engineering I see the program as an opportunity to create a more diverse skill set for myself. I am also excited to experience the opportunity that a larger company provides.
Why did you apply to Transgrid’s Cadetship Program?
I applied to Transgrid’s Cadet program for the opportunity to learn a new set of skills within a new industry. Having previously done various civil projects i enjoyed the idea of delving into the electrical infrastructure side of civil engineering. I also applied as I knew that there would be professionals and experts within Transgrid that i could learn from and develop my engineering and personal skills.
