TransGrid has scored 92 out of 100 points in the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) benchmarking report for 2020, published last week.
17 November 2020
In addition, we have:
-
been awarded a 5-star GRESB rating, which is reserved for those placed in the top 20 per cent and is a 2 star increase on our performance last year
-
ranked 21 out of 406 infrastructure assets around the globe, placing us in the top 6 per cent of the 2020 GRESB universe
-
placed third out of eight Electricity Transmission Networks, closely following a top score of 99 and a second score of 94
-
benchmarked above the industry average of 71
This achievement is a clear reflection of Transgrid’s commitment to initiatives in this area.
GRESB is a global performance benchmarking tool for environmental, social and governance (ESG) which Transgrid has continued to participate in since 2015. Our significant improvement in the GRESB score this year was a result of a central and coordinated focus on ESG, as well as steps taken towards developing Transgrid’s first corporate ESG Strategy.
Over the coming months, we will continue to develop our ESG Strategy, which will set out our targets, priorities and initiatives. We envisage that we will launch our ESG Strategy in 2021.
