TransGrid has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Energy Networks Industry Innovation Award in recognition of our unmanned aircraft (drone) power line stringing program, delivered in partnership with Infravision.
Our innovative approach, using heavy-lift drones, provides a safer, more cost-effective and customer-focused method to conduct aerial transmission line stringing.
The Industry Innovation Award is part of the broader Energy Networks Australia 2020 annual awards program. The category recognises leadership in the design, development and application of a ground-breaking Australian energy network initiative, technology, service or solution.
The winner will be announced in October 2020.
