Transgrid has published its Transmission Annual Planning Report 2022 which supports calls for major transmission projects to be delivered faster and cheaper for consumers.

Not-for-profit groups whom provide support to their local communities are being encouraged to apply for funding under the latest round of Transgrid’s Community Partnership Program.

Transgrid has launched a four-year community sentiment program that seeks written feedback and opinions from a wide range of people, living and working around major projects.

Transgrid is implementing a new community sentiment program called Local Voices. Local Voices is a community survey and data analysis tool delivered by Voconiq. Founded in 2019 by a team of social scientists at CSIRO, Voconiq was built on 10 years of research and practical industry practice to provide an innovative solution to assist companies understand and improve social performance.

Transgrid and AEMO Victorian Planning (AVP) have today published the Project Assessment Draft Report (PADR) for the Victoria – New South Wales Interconnector (VNI) West project as part of the Regulatory Investment Test for Transmission (RIT-T) process.

More energy will now be able to flow between Queensland and NSW with the successful completion of Transgrid’s upgrade to the Queensland-NSW Interconnector (QNI).
