TransGrid hosts consultation forum following release of Project Assessment Draft Report for HumeLink
On Wednesday 12 February, we welcomed stakeholders to a consultation forum following the release of the Project Assessment Draft Report (PADR) for 'Reinforcing the New South Wales Southern Shared Network’, otherwise known as HumeLink.

This forum is an example of our commitment to ongoing consulation with customers and energy consumers, and provide feedback for the development of the next stage of the Regulatory Investment Test for Transmission (RIT-T).

Sean McGoldrick, Executive Manager Major Projects, and Andrew Kingsmill, Manager Network Planning at TransGrid presented an overview of the PADR. They were joined by Ann Whitfield of Houston Kemp Economists and Ian Rose, Associate Partner at EY, to discuss modelling and assumptions.

TransGrid is undertaking the RIT-T to assess the technical and economic feasibility of reinforcing the NSW Southern Shared Network to increase transfer capacity to major demand centres.
The next formal stage of this RIT-T is the Project Assessment Conclusion Report (PACR), which will address PADR consultation responses and determine the final preferred option. PACR is expected to be published in the first half of 2020.
