TransGrid Advisory Council (TAC)

In 2016 TransGrid set up the TransGrid Advisory Council which has streamlined and enhanced the way we connect with some of our most influential stakeholders.

The role of the TransGrid Advisory Council is to act as a key advisor to TransGrid, typically meeting four times a year. Activities are determined through a formal Terms of Reference, and each member is appointed for a two-year term.

The Council gives our executives the chance to work directly with key consumer representatives, large energy users and key customers and hear firsthand about their issues and interests in the energy sector.

Chaired by TransGrid, the Council is made up of the following member organisations:
  • Australian Industry Group
  • City of Sydney
  • Energy Consumers Australia
  • Energy Users Association of Australia
  • Ethnic Communities Council NSW
  • Goldwind
  • Snowy Hydro
  • St Vincent de Paul
  • Tomago Aluminium
  • Total Environment Centre

Revenue Proposal Working Group

In line with the development of TransGrid’s 2018 to 2023 revenue proposal we established the Revenue Proposal Working Group as a subsidiary of the TransGrid Advisory Council. The aim of the Working Group was to ensure that customers, large energy users, consumer representatives and interested parties had an opportunity to understand and influence TransGrid’s approach to the revenue proposal.

Led by the Executive Manager Regulation, members of the TransGrid Advisory Council attended along with the following organisations:
  • Public Interest Advocacy Centre
