Life at Transgrid

Join TransGrid and you will thrive in a highly collaborative environment where creativity and knowledge sharing are valued, and where every person is encouraged to take advantage of on-going opportunities to develop their skills.

Our people come from a broad range of backgrounds that reflect the communities we serve, and bring different perspectives to different challenges. Together they play a critical role in our continued success. As such, we cultivate a workplace that promotes performance and recognition, and that develops, empowers and values employees at all levels and in all locations.

We believe that people who make an extra effort to help us meet our goals and who live our values on the job should be celebrated. Our CHARGE program recognises the many achievements of individual employees and teams by incorporating reward and recognition into every day practice.

Below are just a few of the programs and initiatives that we offer.

    Study Assistance

We support the continued education of our people through the Study Assistance Program. The program enables employees to undertake relevant study at a registered educational institution in order to assist with development in their current role as well as future roles.

    Technical Training and Education

We’re proud of our strong tradition of providing valuable training and education programs for high voltage electricity transmission workers. For information on our Transmission Lines apprenticeships and Electrical apprenticeships, click here.

  • White Ribbon Workplace Accreditation

We are officially recognised by White Ribbon Australia as a pioneer in contributing to national cultural change to prevent and respond to violence against women.
Through our White Ribbon Workplace Accreditation, we have demonstrated effective leadership, resource allocation, communication, HR policy development and training to create a safer and more respectful workplace; supporting employees to be respectful across all spheres.
