Powering Sydney's Future

Bridge works completed in St Peters as part of Powering Sydney's Future project

06 May 2021

Friday night marked the completion of the third and final span for the new combined transmission cable and cycle way bridge next to Bedwin Road, St Peters. This is the second of two bridges, constructed as part of the Powering Sydney’s Future project.

Crews worked around the clock on the delicate operation to lift six massive precast concrete girders into place, using a 400 tonne crane.

Work is on schedule for the completion of the bridge, and we expect to seeing cyclists using this new active transport link by August.

Credit to Certus Projects, Taihan Electric, Borger Cranes and Transport for NSW for all the great work to date.
